Scope of Works

Scope of works

  • Installation of approximately 50 doorsets and associated ironmongery
  • Approximately 234m of architrave
  • Approximately 350m of skirting boards
  • Installation of the full trussed roof
  • Approximately 194-200m² of external cedar cladding
  • Associated battens, tapes, soffits, reveals and corner details to the cedar package
  • Coordination with Claywood and other trades throughout the extension works
The Challenge

The challenge

The most complex element was the trussed roof. The geometry, sequencing and coordination of the full roof installation required accurate setting out and strong site carpentry skills.

The package also combined structural carpentry, internal finishing and external cladding, requiring the team to move between different work types as the extension progressed.

Our Approach

Our approach

CJ prioritised the roof sequence and coordinated closely with Claywood so the structure could be completed accurately and released for following trades.

The same site team then progressed the doors, second-fix joinery and cedar cladding package, maintaining continuity across the full carpentry scope.

Outcome

CJ successfully delivered the combined install-only package, with the complex trussed roof standing out as the strongest element of the team's performance.

The project demonstrates CJ Joinery Contracts' ability to handle both structural carpentry and detailed finishing packages on commercial hotel schemes.
